schaumagazin cordially invites you to help organize a special memory evening on October 18, 2025, for the Night of Knowledge.
Location: Garage complex of the future schaumagazin, Mittelweg 7, 19059 Schwerin.

The first phase of the renovation of the motor vehicle repair shop (KIW “Vorwärts”) in Schwerin will create a vibrant venue for art. We would like to preserve the past of this legendary business together with you: stories, photos, documents, and personal testimonies will be recorded in a logbook of memories.

Bring your memories with you—we would like to document them and make them part of the transformation. Next year, we will start with a series of interviews.

We are joined by Dietmar Kropp, who once began his training here and is now contributing as an expert and contemporary witness. With him and many other supporters, we want to keep the history of KIW alive.
