Monika Brandmeier
You simply see more if you leave the work of art alone for the time being, if you don't immediately harass it with your moods and opinions. Maybe that's hard to bear, because then you're left without ammunition for a moment. But only if you manage to clear your inner stage for a moment will you be able to take what I am saying seriously. This is also what is meant by facts: to consider the works as ‘things things’ [1] with a right to exist before they have been analysed, before you can explain them to yourself, find them poetic or unpoetic and, above all, before you can use them for your own world view.
